For everybody in the Washington D.C. area who plays golf - and especially for novices and beginners - I highly recommend checking out Top Golf in Alexandria. The technology involved is truly amazing, and the melding of actual golf shots, that fly actual distances, with a mega-sized and computerized dart-board, is totally addictive.

I have spent many hours doing hard core PRACTICE at Top Golf as well, not just good ol' beer-bettin' with the fellas. You really do feel that simulated golf "pressure" as you stand over your last ball, knowing that a center ring shot will put your point total into the "New Personal Best" category.
