The golf course at Maywood opened in 1995 and was immediately voted one of the best new golf courses by Golf Digest. No. 16, the signature hole of the course, is a 210-yard par-3 with a 60 to 70 foot drop in elevation. The right side of the green is protected by a perfectly manicured rock wall and a pond. The entire left side of the hole is protected by out of bounds and the sand bunker on the left side of the green does not give the golfer an easy up and down.
