In the Colts' victory over the New York Jets, Garçon caught a game-high 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. He set an AFC title game record for receptions and he posted the third highest yardage total in franchise history.
The victory was especially sweet because it brought some joy to Garçon who has had a heavy heart for the past two weeks due to the earthquake in Haiti.
Garçon, who played at Mount Union, is a native of Miami, but his parents and three sisters were born in Haiti.
The chance to bring attention to Haiti was as important to Garçon as a trip to Super Bowl XLIV. |
